Our History

We are a technology company formed to service the investment management industry in Scotland by four colleagues from F & C Asset Management in September 2011. We decided on the name Consalis as it is derived from the Gaelic word ‘consal’ which means trusted advisor. This concept fit in with our aims of being trusted advisors and keeping our Scottish roots. By December of the same year we had secured our first consultancy contract and by January 2012 our first software development contract.

David Sime and John Wilson joined original Consalis founder Ashley Smith as fellow directors in 2016 and 2019 respectively. Our team of permanent employees has been between eight and twelve people in recent years.  In addition to our core team, we source and work closely with a number of skilled independent contractors to bring value to our clients.

Careers

We believe that the foundation of our business is built upon resourceful and exceptional people and we are always interested in hearing from talented professionals, particularly those with a  background in the investment management industry.

We can provide challenging and rewarding opportunities for established industry professionals as well as graduates who are looking to begin an exciting and innovative career regardless of whether your core skills lie within analysis, software development or whether you can bring something new to our friendly and collaborative team.

If you think that your personality and expertise would be a good fit in our company please get in touch.
